ZTE, CMPak Sign GSM Expansion Contract

China-based ZTE announced on September 6 that it has signed a contract with Pakistan's CMPak - formerly known as Paktel prior to the acquisition by China Mobile in 2007 - for the telecom's GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) network expansion project in Pakistan. Pursuant to the terms of the contract, ZTE will be responsible for the construction of 1,400 base stations for radio network and 10 million lines for DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) core network, all based on ZTE's new-generation All-IP V3 hardware platform.
